Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and Happy Birthday to my Boo-Boo Bear (aka Quinn)

Yet again I have not posted in a long time. I guess im not really good at this whole blogging thing! I will try to do better but no promises…..we are busy after all.

 

Lets see….whats new around here?

We have pretty much been working on the same things still. Quinn is doing well with counting and we have been working on numbers 1-10 now. He can count to 5 by himself but only when he wants to!!!!

Tessa has been busy with letter recognition. She still gets confused with some letters and we have been working with those. (P,K, J, H, R, X) I have been doing alot of pinterest searching for things to help teach her to read and phonics. We have found a few youtube videos that she LOVES and we have been watching them daily. She is really starting to catch on now about the sounds each letter makes. We also have a song about the days of the week but im not sure if i will keep that one. it is kinda boring Tessa said. LOL

What else is new? For Christmas Quinn got a magnetic chalk/dry erase board with magnetic letters and numbers….but to be honest i think tessa has used it more than him. Tessa got a microscope which we have not had a chance to check out yet but she seems pretty interested in it. Daddy got a telescope and Tessa has been patiently waiting for a clear evening so she can check out the sky and Saturn (i think it was saturn that we are suppose to be able to see pretty clearly right now)

 

Tessa has started a new session of gymnastics this past week but im not sure how that is going to work out. She was haveing a hard time staying with her group and listening and had to be taken away from the group for a time out. Then she screamed at the teacher and I pulled her out for the last 5 minutes of class and did not let her return. She was very upset that I would not let her go back in and we had a good talk about what behaviour is expected of her during gymnastics. She went and appologized to the two teachers once all the kids left and we will see how it goes next week.

Right now my main focus is still the same with the kids. Phonics, letter recognition and counting to 100 for Tessa. Shapes, Numbers and Colours for Quinn.

 

And today is Quinns 2nd birthday so “HAPPY  BIRTHDAY MY BOO-BOO BEAR!!!!! MOMMY LOVES YOU.”
